
Sport, Drama, and Music Stars Honoured with Knighthoods in King’s Birthday List
In the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours list, David Beckham, Gary Oldman, and Roger Daltrey were knighted for their exceptional contributions to their respective fields.
Sir David Beckham
Former England football captain David Beckham was knighted for his services to sport and charity. Recognized as one of the greatest footballers of his generation, Beckham’s illustrious career includes six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and a Champions League victory with Manchester United, as well as league titles with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. Beyond football, he has been a UNICEF ambassador since 2005 and played a vital role in bringing the 2012 Olympics to London. His wife, Victoria Beckham, who earned an OBE in 2017 for her contributions to the fashion industry, will now be known as Lady Beckham .

His films have grossed over $11 billion worldwide, making him one of the highest-grossing actors of all time .
Sir Roger Daltrey
The Who frontman Roger Daltrey was knighted for his services to charity and music. Beyond his music career, Daltrey has been a long-time patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust, raising millions for the charity through benefit concerts.
