Man Confesses to Murdering and Beheading Girlfriend
A man named Ewan Methven, 27, has admitted to murdering and decapitating his 21-year-old girlfriend, Phoenix Spencer-Horn, in their shared home in East Kilbride, Scotland. The incident occurred on November 16 of last year.
According to reports, Methven attacked Spencer-Horn with three knives, stabbing her 20 times before mutilating and severing her head. He then proceeded to text her mother, Alison Spencer, pretending to be Phoenix, and searched for internet pornography.
The court heard that earlier on the day of the murder, Methven, a postman, had complained to his girlfriend about feeling “lonely” due to her waitress shifts. Her mutilated and decapitated body was discovered on November 18. Methven later called 999 and confessed, stating, “I just want to go to jail.” He also admitted to attempting to remove her limbs and torso.
