Musk Unhappy After Grok Chatbot Says Right-Wing Violence Is More Prevalent Since 2016

Last week, a user on X (formerly Twitter) asked Grok, the AI chatbot developed by Elon Musk’s xAI, a question about political violence. Grok responded by stating that more political violence has come from the right than the left since 2016—a conclusion supported by several mainstream research studies.

However, Elon Musk didn’t take kindly to the answer.

Within three days, Musk took to X, criticizing the response and announcing a major Grok update that he claimed would “rewrite the entire corpus of human knowledge.” He called on users to submit “divisive facts” that are “politically incorrect, but nonetheless factually true,” implying a shift in how Grok will be trained going forward.

This marks yet another example of Musk directly influencing the behavior and direction of the AI tools developed under his leadership, especially when they clash with his personal or political views.
