Kim Woodburn, the beloved British television personality renowned for her role as the “Queen of Clean” on Channel 4’s How Clean Is Your House?, has passed away at the age of 83 following a brief illness. Her death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from fans and colleagues alike, who remember her as a candid and charismatic figure in British television.

Born Patricia Mary McKenzie on March 25, 1942, in Eastney, Hampshire, Kim overcame a challenging childhood marked by abuse and left home at 16. She worked as a live-in cleaner before being discovered by Channel 4 in 2002. Her no-nonsense approach to domestic hygiene, coupled with her sharp wit, made her a standout on How Clean Is Your House?, which ran from 2003 to 2009. The show led to numerous appearances on reality television programs, including I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2009, where she was a runner-up, and Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, where she finished third.

In recent months, Kim had been experiencing health issues, including undergoing eye surgery. In early March 2025, she informed her followers via social media that she would be unable to record personal videos due to health problems. Her final public appearance was a heartfelt Valentine’s Day message to her fans, expressing gratitude and well-wishes.

Kim is survived by her husband, Peter Woodburn, whom she married in 1979. The couple lived in Nantwich, Cheshire, and had no children. Peter is said to be devastated by her passing, and the family has requested privacy during this time.
