President Tinubu has cancelled his planned national broadcast

President Tinubu has cancelled his planned national broadcast originally scheduled for 7 a.m. on June 12 in commemoration of Democracy Day. According to an official statement from the Director of Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, this decision stems from the President’s commitment to attend a joint session of the National Assembly on that day, where he will instead deliver his Democracy Day address .

Other planned events will continue:

The traditional military parade for Democracy Day has been cancelled .

A public lecture themed “Consolidating on the Gains of Nigeria’s Democracy: Necessity of Enduring Reforms” will take place at 4 p.m. at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja .

In summary, instead of a morning broadcast, President Tinubu will now address the nation from the National Assembly at 12 noon, highlighting government reforms and national unity .
