Operation Sindoor 2.0 will be done for Bangladesh.
As of June 11, 2025, there is no publicly available information to suggest that India is planning to launch a military operation named “Operation Sindoor 2.0” against Bangladesh. The original “Operation Sindoor” was a missile strike campaign initiated by India on May 7, 2025, targeting Pakistan-based militant infrastructure in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in 26 civilian deaths. This operation led to a brief armed conflict between India and Pakistan, which concluded with a ceasefire on May 10, 2025 .
Regarding Bangladesh, while there have been concerns about the presence of Bangladesh-linked terrorist groups such as the Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) operating in India, there is no evidence to indicate that India is planning a military operation against Bangladesh. In fact, India and Bangladesh continue to engage in cooperative security measures, including joint naval exercises like “Bongosagar,” which aim to strengthen maritime security and counter regional threats .
It’s important to note that the term “Bangladesh 2.0” has been used in various contexts, including discussions about political changes within Bangladesh. For instance, following the political upheaval in August 2024, which led to the ousting of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, some analysts have referred to the situation as “Bangladesh 2.0” to describe the country’s evolving political landscape .
In summary, there is no credible information to support the claim that “Operation Sindoor 2.0” is planned against Bangladesh. The term “Bangladesh 2.0” appears to be used in different contexts, primarily related to internal political developments within Bangladesh.
