Nigerian Innovation Catches Elon Musk’s Eye: Invitation Follows DIY Tesla Truck
In a heartwarming turn of events, tech mogul and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has extended a personal invitation to a young Nigerian boy who stunned the internet by building a replica Tesla truck entirely from scrap and waste materials.
The boy, whose name has yet to be widely publicized, garnered global attention after a video showcasing his incredible creation went viral. With limited resources and no formal training, he managed to design and construct a functional model that closely resembles Tesla’s Cybertruck—using only discarded items.
Musk, reportedly moved and impressed by the boy’s creativity and engineering skill, took to social media to share the video, calling it “incredible” and “inspiring.” Not long after, Musk’s team reached out to invite the boy for a personal meeting with the billionaire entrepreneur.
“I was shocked to see a young man build such a thing with little or no help,” Musk said. “This kind of talent deserves to be nurtured.”
The young inventor is expected to visit the United States soon to meet with Musk and tour Tesla’s facilities, where he will likely receive mentorship and possibly a scholarship or training opportunity.
