Ex-TV Presenter David Bull Takes Helm as Reform UK Chairman
David Bull, a former television presenter and medical doctor, has been appointed as the new chairman of Reform UK, effective June 10, 2025. He succeeds Zia Yusuf, who resigned earlier this month amid internal tensions within the party.
Bull has a diverse background, having worked as a television presenter on programs such as Most Haunted Live and Hospital Live. He also served as a Member of the European Parliament for North West England from 2019 to 2020. In Reform UK, he held the position of deputy leader from 2021 to 2024 and has been active in the party’s health policy initiatives.
His appointment comes at a time when Reform UK is experiencing internal challenges, including leadership changes and controversies surrounding party members’ statements. Despite these issues, the party has gained popularity in recent polls, surpassing Labour.
Bull’s new role is expected to be largely ceremonial, with party leader Nigel Farage emphasizing that Bull will not have technical responsibilities. This move is part of Reform UK’s efforts to professionalize the party and prepare for future elections.
