Zia Yusuf's Return to Reform UK: Unveiling His New Role

Meet Zia Yusuf: The Man Leading Reform UK’s New Efficiency Drive

Zia Yusuf is a British entrepreneur and political campaigner who co-founded the luxury concierge app Velocity Black, which was sold for £233 million in 2023. He became involved in politics by joining Reform UK in 2024, where he played a significant role in professionalizing the party and served as its chairman from July 2024 until June 2025. During his tenure, he was instrumental in leading the Reform UK Department for Government Efficiency (DOGE), a team focused on auditing local councils to identify and eliminate wasteful spending.

In June 2025, Yusuf resigned from his position as chairman due to exhaustion and internal disputes, including criticism of a Reform MP’s call to ban the burqa. However, he returned to Reform UK just two days later, attributing his resignation to fatigue and feeling undervalued. He now leads the DOGE team, focusing on efficiency in local governments, and contributes to policy development, fundraising, and media representation .

Yusuf describes himself as a “British Muslim patriot” and has been an outspoken advocate for stricter immigration controls and government accountability. His return to Reform UK comes as the party gains momentum, recently surpassing Labour in polls and securing 677 council seats .
