Angela Okorie mocks Regina Daniel’s marriage
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly criticized her junior colleague, Regina Daniels, following Regina’s celebration of Mercy Johnson’s 40th birthday. Angela, who has had ongoing tensions with Mercy Johnson, took offense at Regina’s public show of affection towards Mercy. In response, Angela unfollowed Regina on Instagram and posted a series of critical messages on her Instagram stories, accusing Regina of betrayal and immaturity.
Angela’s posts included personal attacks, such as mocking Regina’s marriage to an older man, Ned Nwoko, and suggesting that Regina’s actions were hypocritical. She also made cryptic statements implying that those who cross her would face dire consequences.
The feud attracted attention from other Nollywood figures. Actor Uche Maduagwu criticized Angela, suggesting that if she had Regina’s character, she might have found a man to marry her. Actress Judith Iwu also weighed in, describing the feud as unnecessary and in bad taste, and urging her colleagues to quit the name-calling.
Despite the public spat, it appears that Angela and Regina have reconciled. In November 2024, Regina posted a video on Instagram featuring Angela’s song “Legit” as the background music, which fans interpreted as a peace offering. Reports suggest that the actresses have put their differences aside.
