Official Launch: Commercial operations began on Wednesday, marking the official entry into service.
Lines and Coverage: The initial system includes two lines, stretching a total of 45 kilometers.
Speed and Efficiency: Trains are designed to operate at a maximum speed of 100 km/h, improving commuting efficiency.
International Collaboration: The project was constructed by China, further deepening China–Nigeria infrastructure cooperation.
This project is expected to:
Reduce traffic congestion in Abuja,
Improve public transportation reliability,
and stimulate economic activity along the transit corridor.
