“Forgive Me”: Enugu Ritualist Confesses to Killing Hundreds for Money Rituals

A man identified as Ezeani, also known as Ichie Million, has been arrested in Enugu State for allegedly engaging in ritual killings. His arrest followed the attempted abduction of a 13-year-old girl, which led villagers to uncover multiple decomposing bodies buried in soakaway pits within his compound. Ezeani, a native doctor, reportedly confessed to the killings, claiming he had been hired by wealthy individuals, including pastors and kidnappers, to perform rituals. He stated that he had killed over a hundred people for money rituals and expressed remorse, attributing his actions to the influence of the devil.

The Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the arrest and is conducting further investigations into the matter. This incident has raised concerns about the prevalence of ritual killings in the region, with some residents attributing the rise to a “get-rich-quick” mentality and the societal admiration of wealth. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to prevent such heinous crimes.

This case adds to a series of recent ritual killings in Nigeria, highlighting the urgent need for comprehensive measures to address the underlying causes and prevent further tragedies.
