Former Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp Extends Support After Parade Incident
Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has expressed his profound sorrow following the tragic incident during Liverpool FC’s Premier League victory parade on May 26, 2025. A vehicle drove into the crowd on Water Street, injuring 65 people, including four children. Klopp, who attended the parade, shared his sentiments on Instagram, stating:
“My family and I are shocked and devastated. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who are. injured and affected. You’ll never walk alone.”
He further reflected on the day’s events, noting the stark contrast between the joyous celebration and the sudden tragedy:
“It should have been one of the greatest days in the history of the city… And from one second to another everything changed and we learned again there are more serious things in the world than football.”
Klopp’s heartfelt message underscores the deep sense of community and solidarity that defines Liverpool, especially during times of adversity.
