HBO has officially announced the lead cast for its upcoming “Harry Potter” television series, set to premiere in 2026. After an extensive casting process involving tens of thousands of applicants, the roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley have been filled by Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout, respectively.

- Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter): A Scottish newcomer, McLaughlin was selected for his natural charisma and screen presence. This marks his first major acting role.
- Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger): Stanton brings stage experience to the role, having portrayed Matilda in the West End production of Matilda The Musical and Control in Starlight Express.
- Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley): Also a newcomer, Stout’s previous work includes a commercial for Jersey Royal potatoes.
