Police Hold Two Suspects in Mile 12 Homicide, Arson Case
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two principal suspects in connection with the brutal murder and burning of a young woman on May 24, 2025, in the ‘Gangare’ area near the canal behind Mile 12 Market, Lagos.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the victim, originally from Nasarawa State, was allegedly attacked and set ablaze in a premeditated act orchestrated by her estranged boyfriend and accomplices.
The police clarified that contrary to widespread misinformation, there was no blasphemy involved in the incident.
The suspects are currently in custody, and the police are continuing their investigation to apprehend any other individuals involved in the crime.
