Trump in ‘Emotional Overload’, According to Kremlin
On May 26, 2025, the Kremlin responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent remarks labeling Russian President Vladimir Putin as “absolutely CRAZY” following a significant aerial assault on Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov suggested that Trump’s comments might stem from “emotional overload,” attributing them to heightened tensions and emotional reactions amid the ongoing crisis.
Despite the sharp criticism, Peskov acknowledged the United States’ role in facilitating Ukraine peace negotiations, expressing gratitude to President Trump for his assistance in initiating the dialogue process.
President Trump, while contemplating new sanctions on Moscow due to the escalation against Ukraine, also criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, indicating a complex stance on the conflict.
