Actor Injured: Zubby Michael Kicks Colleague on Set
Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has been hospitalized with internal bleeding after an unscripted on-set incident involving fellow actor Zubby Michael. The incident occurred during a film shoot when Michael unexpectedly kicked Nnadiekwe in the chest—a move not included in the script or approved by the director. A video of the incident has since gone viral, prompting widespread concern within the entertainment industry.
Nnadiekwe’s management confirmed his condition in a statement, emphasizing that the kick was unauthorized and occurred without consent. The actor is currently receiving treatment for internal injuries, though the specific hospital has not been disclosed.
Prior to the official statement, Nnadiekwe addressed the incident on Instagram, highlighting the lack of safety protocols on set. He expressed concern over the absence of insurance policies and immediate medical support during filming, stressing the need for stricter adherence to scripted actions to ensure the safety of all cast and crew members.
In response to the incident, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has initiated an investigation. AGN President Emeka Rollas has reportedly contacted the production team to gather information and has assured the public that appropriate actions will be taken to address the situation.
As of now, Zubby Michael has not publicly commented on the matter.
