Amid Health Concerns, King Sends Private Message to Biden
King Charles III has privately expressed his support to former U.S. President Joe Biden following Biden’s recent diagnosis of an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. The King, who is currently undergoing his own treatment for an undisclosed cancer, sent best wishes and solidarity to Biden, emphasizing the resilience and hope required to confront such a diagnosis.Biden, aged 82, publicly disclosed his condition on May 19, 2025, revealing that his cancer has a Gleason score of 9, indicating a particularly aggressive strain. However, it is hormone-sensitive, making it more manageable. He expressed gratitude for the widespread support he has received, noting that “cancer touches us all.”
In response, President Biden has also expressed concern for King Charles’s health. He stated, “I’m concerned about him,” and expressed hope to speak with the King soon. Biden later shared a message on social media, stating, “Navigating a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship takes hope and absolute courage,” and offered prayers for the King’s swift and full recovery.
This exchange of support highlights the solidarity and compassion shared between the two leaders as they both face personal health challenges.
